Can you handle the truth? Of course you can, as long as the truth is good. Unfortunately, sometimes it's not, and the people closest to you are the least likely to tell you. Don't make the mistake of sending your manuscript to an agent or publisher, or indeed publishing it yourself, without having an industry expert cast at least a cursory glance over it. With this service, however, you'll get much more than that. Award-winning author of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Historical Fiction, Ronald A. Geobey (AKA The Gatekeeper) will read your novel closely, and will prepare a detailed report based on his opinion of it and containing his suggestions for improvement. Following your receipt of this report (expect a 4-week turnaround), he will arrange a 2-hour feedback session (online or in person - in Roe River Books, Dundalk) to clarify any points of concern or confusion and to expand on any advice offered. Once you have booked, Ronald will be in touch by e-mail to clarify the process and to answer any initial questions you might have. To book, simply select a start date from the calendar. While the schedule does not account for the entire time spent appraising your manuscript, you should expect a 4-week turnaround. While we cannot guarantee placement of the manuscript with an agent or publisher - nobody can - we're confident that you'll proceed with your submissions (or self-publication) with a much stronger manuscript than you began with. Note that if you wish to move forward with our Collaborative Publishing service, the cost of your Manuscript Appraisal will be deducted from the CP service costs. Note also that your loyalty points (Bones) can be used at checkout; and that Site Members and SFI Members are automatically assigned Bones at initial sign-up.
